sunday Small Business Showcase

All day today over on Bailey’s Instagram we have showcased all of the pieces that I have purchased from small UK based businesses for Bailey (and a few things I got for myself that are dog related). There was a post for each business giving as much information as possible including photos of the products I’d purchased and some photos of Bailey modelling them (including some throwback photos too). Although I wasn’t asked by the companies to promote them, I wanted to give a shoutout to all these businesses, some that are well established and some that are only just starting out. In this post I’ve collated all the Instagram posts together, along with the photographs.

Dapper Dogs by Angela

First up on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is Dapper Dogs by Angela. Angela has a shop over on Etsy (etsy.com/uk/shop/DapperDogByAngela). Angela is based in Edinburgh, Scotland and sells all sorts of dog accessories (and accessories for the humans too). We love the red tartan set. She also offers free UK delivery.

PIPnPOPCrafts

Next up on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is PIPnPOPCrafts. Felicity has a shop over on Etsy (etsy.com/uk/shop/PIPnPOPCrafts). Felicity is based in Shropshire, UK and sells all sorts of dog accessories (and accessories for the humans too). We got the Boat Life bandana and a matching scrunchie for our holiday back in September 2020 and we loved going matchy matchy on a trip to the seaside.

Welsh Label Lady

Third on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is Welsh Label Lady. Natasha sells her products via Instagram (just message her to place your order). As her name suggests, Natasha is based in Wales and she sells personalised goods such as clothing, towels and gifts. Natasha was very accommodating and completed a very last minute order for a Christmas stocking. Bailey loved opening it up on Christmas morning to find treats from his groomer inside.

Top Pooch

Next up on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is Top Pooch. Top Pooch has been run by James in the UK since 2011 via his website https://toppooch.com. I purchased the superhero collar and lead set in the January sale. We love superheroes in this house so it was a great find. On the site you’ll find collars, leads, harnesses and other dog accessories to get fully kitted out. We are looking forward to the next release of the handmade collection.

We Are Paw Couture

This next business on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is one mainly for the Dog Mamas but there are products for the pooches too. Claire runs We Are Paw Couture from Yorkshire, UK. On her site (https://wearepawcouture.com) she sells apparel for the humans including sweatshirts, t-shirts and hats and recently she has added a range of dog accessories so that the dogs can be matchy matchy with their pawrents. I treated myself during the Black Friday sale to a Dog Mum sweatshirt and loves it.

Pet Pooch Boutique

Next up on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is Pet Pooch Boutique. You can shop via the website (petpoochboutique.com) or via Etsy (etsy.com/uk/shop/PetPoochBoutique). Pet Pooch Boutique is run by Samantha from Surrey, UK. She sells a vast selection of dog accessories including collars, leads, harnesses and bandanas. In Bailey’s pawdrobe he has the Pizza Bojangles harness and lead which I got for our holiday back in September 2020.

Smoozle & Bone

The eighth business on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is Smoozle & Bone run by the lovely Emma from Devon, UK. Emma hand makes everything on her website (smoozleandbone.com). Bailey has the avocuddle collar and lead (the matching bandana is on it’s way to him too) and Santa Paws got him one of the Christmas boxes. I have also ordered myself some of the Dog Mum hats to keep warm on our winter walkies. There are all sorts of products available from dog accessories to dog sleeping products.

Pawsome Paws Boutique

Next up on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is Pawsome Paws Boutique. Pawsome Paws Boutique is run by Sophie from the UK (pawsomepawsboutique.co.uk). She sells an amazing collection of dog accessories, human apparel, stationary and prints. Santa Paws got Bailey two collar and lead sets for Christmas and then in the January sale I got him another collar and lead set. I have also ordered some sweatshirts and mugs for myself (placing three orders in three days! I just couldn’t resist the great designs).

Hugo & Ted

The tenth business to feature on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is Hugo and Ted. I came across Hugo and Ted on Instagram and it is a real find. Hugo and Ted (hugoandtedltd.com) is run by Charlotte (and Hugo and Ted!) from Birmingham, UK. There are all sorts of products available for pooches and humans but the main attraction for me was the made to measure coats. Bailey has quite a long body but not a massive girth and so to get a coat long enough to cover his back I have to go up one or sometimes two sizes which means they are too big around his middle resulting in lots of adjustments. And so when I discovered Hugo and Ted I was delighted and now he has a waterproof coat that fits him properly. I also have my eye on some of the other products in the range too.

Mr Squidge’s Emporium

Next up on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is Mr Squidge’s Emporium (mrsquidgesemporium.com). The business is run by Mr Otis Squidge from Manchester (and Durham) in the UK. The site sells a variety of bow ties and bandanas, all handmade. Santa Paws got Bailey a few pieces for Christmas and I have just ordered some pierces from the new space collection.

The Wagging Tail Cafe

The penultimate business on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is The Wagging Cafe. This business is very close to my heart as it is near to where I grew up (although we only discovered it during the summer last year). The cafe is run by a team of lovely people who all adore dogs so you will be assured of a friendly welcome. The menus on offer for both pooches and humans is extensive. Bailey has taste tested many items and apparently they are yummy. At Christmas Santa was able to order selection boxes filled with doggy biscuits which he enjoyed immensely. We are all really looking forward to them being able to reopen and plan to visit regularly when we are able to.

Penny Lou

The last but certainly not least business on the Sunday Small Business Showcase is Penny Lou run by Penny and Lou in Cheshire, UK. The site (https://pennylou.co.uk) sells all sorts of dog accessories, dog toys and some items for the humans. Bailey’s pawdrobe and toy box is full of items from them. He particularly likes the collars and leads and he loves my banana toy that he got from Santa Paws.

You can save 10% by entering the code BAILEY10 at the checkout. Let us know if you use the code.

And that’s it for the Small Business Sunday Showcase. I hope you liked learning about these businesses that we love. Please do check them out and shop small. Thanks for reading.
